Run an online visit

Before the visit

• An online visit appears in your schedule on Today with a video or audio badge and the link Online visit room.
• The room opens 15 minutes before the scheduled start. Before that the page says It is not yet time to open the room.
• If the patient said that a guardian will attend, the page shows A guardian will attend with the patient.
• Only the doctor of the appointment opens the room. Reception and the owner have no automatic access.

During the visit

   Open Online visit room from your schedule. Read the line that says when the room opens and closes.

   Press Open the room and enter. The call opens inside the page. When the browser asks, allow the camera and the microphone.

   When the patient enters the waiting room the page shows Waiting to be let in. Press Let the patient in. If this is not the right person press Do not admit; the patient is told that they can call the clinic.

   Hold the visit. Open the patient's chart opens the patient's file.

   When you finish press End the visit and confirm. The room is closed for everyone.

Good to know

• The call is not recorded, in sound or picture, and nothing is transcribed.
• It is not for emergencies. If the situation is urgent, end the visit and tell the patient to call their local emergency service.
• The room closes by itself 15 minutes after the scheduled end. It is never extended, and a patient who is late cannot extend it. A longer visit needs a new booking.
• If your connection drops, press Open the room and enter again while the room is still open.
