Registering patients and reminders

Add a new patient, take care with families who share a phone, hand over the portal link and know what reminders really do.

Register a patient

  1. Search first with Find a patient. If there is a match, open it. No match. You can create a new patient.

  2. Press New patient (or New patient in Patients).

  3. Write the name. It is the only required field. Add the gender, date of birth, phone, WhatsApp number, city and address as you know them.

  4. In the medical section write the allergies, chronic conditions and current medicines. They appear as warnings in the file and on the doctor's screen.

  5. Save the patient.

Give the patient the portal

The patient file has a button to send or copy the patient's portal link. Sending uses WhatsApp, so it works only when the clinic's WhatsApp is set up; otherwise copy the link and hand it over yourself. The patient signs in with the mobile number the clinic holds, so make sure that number is the one the patient uses. See the patient portal.

Reminders

  • Appointment reminders go out on WhatsApp only when the clinic has connected WhatsApp in Settings and has switched reminders on. Communications is labelled Preview.
  • Until then no reminder is sent, so call your patients yourself.
  • A reminder carries the patient's name, the clinic and the time only: no clinical content and no online-visit link.
  • WhatsApp and SMS are charged by the provider and are not part of the plan price. Nothing is sent unless the clinic has set the channel up.
  • Patient recall in More lists patients who may be worth contacting. It suggests; it sends nothing by itself.

Still need help?

Tell us which screen you were on and what happened. Do not send any patient information.

No contact channel has been published for this site yet. The clinic owner or a doctor can open a support request from inside the application, or you can request a demo.
