Prescriptions and treatment plans

Write and print a prescription, cancel or reinstate one with a reason, and create a treatment plan in steps.

Write a prescription

Only a doctor whom the owner allows to prescribe has the button New prescription. If you do not see it, ask the owner; see staff and roles.

  1. Press New prescription in the patient file, or New prescription in the consultation.

  2. Check the patient. If the patient has a recorded allergy, a warning appears.

  3. Press Add medication and write the medicine: its name, form, dose, frequency, duration, route, total quantity and any special instructions. The drug list helps you search.

  4. Add the diagnosis and general advice if you wish, and the date until which the prescription is valid. An internal note is kept in the system and is not printed.

  5. Press Save prescription. To print, open the prescription and press the print button.

Cancel or reinstate

An issued prescription is never deleted or overwritten. Only the doctor who wrote it can change it.

  1. Open the prescription and press Cancel prescription (or Reinstate prescription for a cancelled one).

  2. Write the Reason for the change, at least 3 characters, and press Confirm.

Treatment plans

A treatment plan lists the steps of a longer treatment with an estimated cost. Open More and then Treatment plans.

  1. Press the button for a new plan (New treatment plan).

  2. Choose the patient and write the title of the plan. Add a description for the patient if you wish.

  3. Add the steps. Each step has a title and, if you wish, a price and a note. A step can be taken from the list of services.

  4. Save the plan as a draft (Save as draft), or create it and propose it to the patient.

  5. As the treatment goes on, mark each step done. The plan shows the progress, and you can print it for the patient.
